Stablecoin rules go mainstream in seven major economies
The US, EU, UK, Singapore, Hong Kong, UAE and Japan now all require stablecoin issuers to be licensed, hold full reserves, and guarantee redemption. Why it matters here: USDT and USDC are most newcomers' first stablecoins โ the money behind them is now far more tightly policed, though the exact rules still differ by country.

More regulated ways to buy, with guardrails.

The GENIUS Act created a single US framework for payment stablecoins: only regulated institutions can issue them, with full reserve backing and clear redemption rights. It ended a decade of state-by-state patchwork and set the template other countries are now converging on.
